LIVE WELLington advocates for a liveable Wellington:
o Targeted upzoning, aligned with infrastructure investments
o Sensible city planning rules that allow growth but retain reasonable chunks of character areas – suburbs that are already densely populated and walkable.
o Careful planning and leadership to introduce density done well into low rise areas
o Support for the retaining and reusing old buildings instead of wastefully demolishing them
o Government investment in social housing and recognition that market solutions will not create affordable housing for our most needy
